Turn any Android phone into an SMS gateway

The Koipabo Gateway app powers both sides of the platform — send SMS for your reseller business, or earn money by offering your phone's SIMs to the pool as a supplier.

v1.0.6 · For resellers & suppliers — not on Google Play, installed directly from this site

Works on these phones

Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer

API 24+ — phones from ~2016 onward

A SIM card slot

the phone sends SMS from its own SIMs

A camera

for QR pairing — a manual pairing URL also works

Internet access

Wi-Fi or mobile data to reach your Koipabo server

The APK bundles 32-bit and 64-bit ARM code, so it installs on both older entry-level models and the latest flagships.

What the app does

Everything is server-driven: the app learns its job from the QR code and the account that owns the device.

One-tap QR pairing

Scan the pairing QR from your dashboard. The app reads the server address from the QR itself, so it works on localhost, your LAN, or your live domain — no settings to type.

Multi-SIM sending

Every SIM slot on the phone is listed and can be toggled on or off. Messages are round-robined across the enabled SIMs automatically — dual-SIM phones become two sending lines.

Runs in the background

The gateway is a foreground service: it keeps sending when the app is closed or swiped away, restarts itself after a reboot, and can be exempted from battery optimization so OEMs don't kill it.

Test SMS from the phone

Send a test message straight from the app to confirm the SIM, signal, and server connection are all working before routing real traffic.

Live status & activity

See connection status, heartbeat, and last poll in real time, plus sent / failed / skipped counters and a server-side activity log.

Supplier earnings (in-app)

If the device belongs to a supplier, the app shows balance, total earned, delivered count, and lets you set your ask rate, daily cap, OTP-only mode, and pool on/off — synced two-way with the web dashboard.

One app, two roles

The app detects who owns the device and shows the right interface.

For resellers

  • Register your Android phones and assign them to clients
  • Messages round-robin across enabled SIMs automatically
  • Works offline — queued messages deliver when the phone reconnects
  • See real-time status: heartbeat, sent / failed / skipped counts
  • Send a test SMS from the phone to verify signal and server

For suppliers

  • Offer your SIMs to the SMS pool and get paid per delivered message
  • Set your ask rate, daily cap, and OTP-only mode right from the phone
  • Watch your balance, total earned, and delivered count live
  • The 'Offer to the SMS pool' switch syncs two-way with the web dashboard
  • You choose which countries your SIMs may serve

Set up in 5 steps

1

Register a device

Sign in and go to Devices → Register Device. The pairing QR code appears immediately (or click the QR icon on any existing device).

2

Install & open the app

Download the APK on the phone, open it, and allow 'Install unknown apps' for your browser when prompted.

3

Scan the QR code

Tap 'Scan QR code' and point the camera at the pairing QR on your dashboard. You can also paste the pairing URL manually.

4

Choose your SIMs

The app detects every SIM slot and asks which SIMs may send SMS. Toggle any on or off — you can change this anytime from the home screen.

5

Start the gateway

Tap 'Start SMS gateway'. The device appears online on your dashboard within seconds and starts picking up queued messages.

Common questions

Installing outside the Play Store is safe: the APK is signed, served over HTTPS, and only asks for the permissions it needs (SMS, phone state, camera, notifications).

Which Android versions are supported?

Android 7.0 (Nougat, API 24) and newer. The APK includes 32-bit (armeabi-v7a) and 64-bit (arm64-v8a) builds, so both older and current phones are covered.

Why is the app not on Google Play?

Koipabo is a private gateway platform, so the app is distributed directly from this website. You'll need to allow 'Install unknown apps' for the browser you download from — this is a one-time permission, not a security risk.

How do updates work?

When a new version is published here, download and install the new APK over the old one. Your pairing and settings are preserved — the app does not need to be re-paired.

Can one phone be used by both a reseller and a supplier?

No. A device belongs to the account that registered it. Reseller devices send their own clients' messages; supplier devices earn money by serving the SMS pool. The app detects which one you are and shows the right screen.

What if my phone is turned off or offline?

Messages stay queued on the server and are delivered when the device comes back online.
